This lack of knowledge allows our imaginations to run wild and developers have the creative licence to scare the living daylights out of us. Miles and miles of the ocean remain a mystery and many of our problems could be solved by what lies in the deep. I find it quite disconcerting that we know more about other planets and the deep reaches of space than we do about Earth.
