You can even connect your Steam account and acquire DRM-free copies of some games you own on Steam: GOG is known for years and is one of major storefronts now, you probably didn't pay enough attention to the market. Hopefully steam will eventually add a DRM-FREE section to steam where all games listed under it are DRM Free, or Steam Only. Is GOG its own platform like steam btw, or just a place where you pay and they give you a download link?
